Does it work without a paid AI subscription?

What platforms does it read?

YouTube (Watch Later, Liked, playlists), Instagram (saved posts), Facebook (saved posts), X/Twitter (bookmarks), TikTok (favourites), LinkedIn (saved posts), Browser Bookmarks — Chrome auto-detected; Safari/Firefox via export.

Does it download videos?

No. DRIP reads subtitles and captions only. For videos without captions it downloads audio temporarily, transcribes locally, then deletes it immediately. No video file ever stays on your drive.

Is my data safe?

Completely. Cookies stored locally with owner-only permissions. Nothing uploaded. Nothing transmitted. The Chrome extension only talks to localhost — never the internet. When using a local AI, your content never touches the internet at all.
